I have been thinking about how to open this post for a few weeks about why I am a Men Wear Pink Ambassador this year. As someone who loves to write, I was trying to think of something attention grabbing, but the truth is, it’s just the right thing to do.
Cancer has probably affected the lives of every person reading this post. It’s something I’ve seen impact my family multiple times from uncles and grandparents to my cousin Katherine and her battle with cancer in high school. My mother had her own bout with cancer in summer 2020 which was luckily caught very early and she has been in great health since.
I have thoroughly enjoyed being involved in the Springfield community since moving here in February and being involved in the Men Wear Pink campaign is something I am very much looking forward to this fall. Sometime in October, I will also be donating my hair, which is something I have had the opportunity to do several times in the past.
If you are willing or would like to make a donation on behalf of my campaign for the American Cancer Society, you can do so at the link below.
