Weather analysts raise concerns about Illinois drought vulnerability

Weather watchers are raising concerns about the possibility of drought conditions hitting Illinois.

The latest drought monitor data find abnormally dry conditions in much of east central Illinois and areas along the Mississippi River.

Sangamon County does not yet show any signs of drought; weather experts say that may not last, however, particularly with above-normal temperatures expected in the area over the next two weeks.
