Dansby Swanson homered and drove in 2 as the Chicago Cubs got a 5-1 victory over the Nationals in DC last night. Ian Happ also homered for the Cubs in the contest, and Drew Smyly went 7 innings giving up 6 hits and just 1 run to earn the victory on the mound. The Cubs and Nats battle again today in DC.

After a day off yesterday, the Chicago White Sox host the Minnesota Twins tonight at the Rate; first pitch is scheduled for 6:10p CT.

The St. Louis Cardinals also had the day off yesterday and will be hosting the LA Angels tonight at Busch. First pitch is scheduled for 6:45p CT.

In the NHL playoffs last night, the New Jersey Devils shutout out the New York Rangers in game 7 of that series 4-0 in the final. The Devils now advance to take on the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2nd round of the Stanly Cup Playoffs.

In the NBA Playoffs last night James Harden scored 45pts as the Philadelphia 76ers won game one in Boston against the Celtics 119-115. Elsewhere the Denver Nuggets went up 2-0 in their series with the Phoenix Suns with a 97-87 victory. Nikola Jokic had 39pts and 16 rebs to pace the Nuggets.
