Every time I drink, I don’t get in trouble. However, all the times I’ve gotten myself into REAL trouble, its involved alcohol. Its a tricky thing. We as humans have had a relationship with the stuff since the beginning of time. Its biblical for the love of god. Now that being said, it’s terrible for us, it can get us into trouble and because of this, more and more younger people are deciding to live an alcohol free life. Or at least significantly cut back.
The sober movement
has been happening now for a bit. You can find sober bars in most major cities, but not a lot of smaller ones. That’s why, we here in Springfield, are lucky that Elizabeth Wake opened one for us in Capital City. It’s not that drinking is a problem. It’s the fact that it can be one for a lot of people
. Especially in the world of rock and roll, substance abuse is something that had a grip on more people than probably would admit. I have had struggles with alcohol and knowing that there is another option to go out and not be tempted to drink is an amazing thing.
