Springfield continues to see better unemployment numbers than it did at the same point last year.
The October jobless rate locally was 3.9 percent, down from 4.3 percent in October of 2021.
The Springfield metro area had 25-hundred more jobs compared to the previous year. The biggest areas of job growth were in education and health services, leisure and hospitality, and government.
