OK… so it will sound cliché, but as long as I can remember I have been in awe of the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile. As a kid, I think the notion of a hotdog on wheels was both amazing and appetizing. I never had the chance to get to see it in person. As I grew up, I figured I just wouldn’t end up seeing it.
Working in radio has always afforded me pretty cool opportunities. When I heard that we might be able to have THE Oscar Mayer Weinermobile at our station, I reached out to Ketchup Kaitlyn and we got it on the calendar!
I was super excited to see it. As I came around corner and looked outside, just like a dream, there it was shining in the sun. I ran outside to greet the two hotdoggers, and I really do believe they were equally excited to see me! Ketchup Kaitlyn and Benny Buns rocked my WORLD!
Long story short, I got to feel like a kid again. As I get older and the world seems to get a little wilder, these moments become priceless. Find out when the Weinermobile will be in your area and go. Bring your kids. Go alone. Whatever it is, enjoy the nostalgia and get your whistle!
