U.S. Senator Dick Durbin says the ongoing hearings of the January 6th committee serve an important purpose… to thoroughly document what led up to the violent insurrection at the U.S. Capitol in hopes of ensuring nothing like it happens again.
Durbin spoke in Springfield Friday, one day after the committee’s first hearing, held in prime time (and heard live on WMAY). Durbin criticized the Fox News Channel for being the only cable news outlet not to show the hearing.
He says it doesn’t speak well of Fox’s commitment to journalism or to providing the truth to their audience.
