When my wife and I first moved here, we looked around on Facebook to see what was going on in the community. We have found that in our travels, Facebook is a great way to find out about local businesses and community groups to get involved. One of the first groups we came across was 217 Foodies. I think at the time it had around 21,000 active subscribers. Not its well above 30,000.
It was and is a great way to read reviews of restaurants with comments based on other peoples experiences as well. So it there is a comment about one restaurant you can get a pretty good idea about that restaurant when all is said and done.
I have family coming into to town for memorial day weekend and I know that even people from here don’t know every place that is out there. Especially when Covid has shaken things up so much. My recommendation, got on your Facebook account and subscribe to 217 Foodies. You will always have new places to try and know where to take people who come into visit.
