Expiration dates for Illinois driver’s licenses and state ID cards have been extended once again.
Secretary of State Jesse White has issued numerous extensions of those deadlines during the pandemic in order to avoid big crowds at drivers services facilities. The deadline had been set for March 31st, but White has now extended that to July 31st of this year. The extension does not apply to commercial driver’s licenses.
White continues to encourage people who are eligible to do so to renew their license or ID card or conduct other business with his office online at ilsos.gov.
