Beer! The great gatherer, bringing people together since…. Well, a long time ago. Lucky for us here in Springfield, we have a ton of great bars and breweries that have plenty of the stuff. One of my favorite places, which we also made a stop at for Thirsty Thursdays, is Obed and Isaac’s. Now they also have a spot in Peoria, but for this one, we are sticking with the original.
One of the first things I loved about Obed and Isaac’s was their history. Not only of the brewing, but of the actual buildings they are in. Rich history that is filled with interesting facts about Springfield, and the people who made it all happen years ago. Then they have the beer. Really rich, flavorful beers that are easily drinkable and even more easily enjoyed. Not to mention, they have an AWESOME menu of food that I have yet to find something I don’t like on.
Well GET READY. If you have no plans this week or even if you do…. change them. This coming Saturday, February 12th Obed and Isaac’s will be celebrating 10 years of being in existence. From noon to close at the beer garden, they will have: live music, giveaways, free pint glasses and more!
So come down to Obed’s this Friday and help them celebrate decade number 1!
