A new statewide survey gives U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth a substantial lead over her Republican opponent.
The survey by Victory Research gives Duckworth nearly a ten-point lead over Kathy Salvi, with Duckworth at over 43-percent support and Salvi just under 34-percent. Around 20-percent of those surveyed are undecided.
Duckworth has a big lead in Chicago and a slight advantage in the suburbs, while Salvi is ahead Downstate. The poll has a margin of error of approximately plus-or-minus three-percent.
