Jack has a past, but we hope that by sharing it, it will help us find his ultimate forever home.
💔3 years ago we rescued u and several others from a very bad hoarding and neglect case. You were in the worst shape, hence your name, Jack Skellington, we couldn’t make out your breed, or age very well, bc your teeth were worn down from eating rocks. You seemed to be the one in charge and care taker of the other dogs.
Our amazing foster, Sacheen Simeon, stepped up, she gave you medicated baths, small nutritious meals throughout the day, and so much rest and love. And on top of it all, you were heartworm positive.
Well, after months of care, you got healthy, your hair grew back, and you were cleared for neuter and heartworm treatment!
And finally the time came! Jack was ADOPTED! He had fur siblings, a yard, funny costumes, etc! We got to see his updates of him living his best life, we were all so happy.
Well 3 years later (now) we got a vague call from his adopter. Then silence. And ultimately we learned he was abandoned for FOUR DAYS. We were in disbelief. She knew his history and story, and still left him, to once again, fend for himself.
❤️‍🩹Thankfully, his foster stepped up, once again, and once again, HE IS SAFE!
❇️NOW, THE SEARCH IS ON, FOR THE BEST HOME FOR JACK! ❇️
Jack is a male dominate dog. He would be best in an only dog household, where he gets all the attention he deserves, or a submissive female dog household.
He’s food and treat motivated. He will take over the bed and sprawl out! Don’t let his age, of estimated 8yrs old, trick you, he has LOTS of energy, he loves going for walks & playing in the yard! He also LOVES cuddling, any chance he gets! And he is learning not to jump on everybody for attention, so no small children in the home.
He doesn’t need to be crated, & he’s potty trained!
