Illinois public health officials note available precautions while giving COVID-19 and flu updates

State public health officials say levels of influenza remain flat across Illinois; meanwhile, cases of COVID-19 continue to fall as well.

Health officials say the flu season can last through May, so residents are reminded to take precautions against catching the illness.

The state public health department is also endorsing
the CDC’s recommendation for adults 65 and older to take a booster shot for COVID.
