The winter storm hitting Illinois will impact travel. The Illinois Department of Transportation says the severe weather will create slick conditions, reduced visibility, and slower travel across much of the state.
IDOT has more than 1800 trucks and equipment to treat roads, spread salt, plow snow, and respond to weather emergencies.
Another storm is predicted to hit later this week, with more snow forecasted along with bitter cold.
