CWLP announced on Wednesday that it would be working on a busy intersection in the capital city to start in November.

On Wednesday, November 1 – beginning around 6 a.m. – lanes are set to be reduced at the intersection of Wabash Avenue and Koke Mill Road while CWLP crews replace a damaged traffic pole.

Restrictions for east- and west-bound traffic on Wabash Avenue turning south onto Koke Mill Road should be expected and planned for, and lanes will be reduced by one on all other sides of the intersection.

Work is expected to be complete by 1 p.m. Wednesday. In the event of inclement weather, this work will be rescheduled.

Again, CWLP is urging motorists to plan alternative routes to avoid delays where possible, as well as to slow down and drive with caution around this work zone.
