Illinois AG Raoul announces 15 felony charges against Shipman Village Treasurer Robinson

Attorney General Kwame Raoul announced charges against Elizabeth Robinson, 45, of Shipman.

Robinson is the village treasurer, and Raoul’s office accuses her of committing 15 felonies, including theft, wire fraud, forgery and official misconduct.

She is charged with diverting between $10,000 and $65,000 of village funds to her personal use and forging signatures on village checks.

Robinson faces jail terms ranging from five years to 15 years for each count; her next court date is scheduled for Oct. 16.
