It was another disappointing loss for the Chicago Cubs last night at Wrigley as they gave up 3 runs in the top of the 9thinning to fall to the Pittsburgh Pirates 8-6 the final. Dansby Swanson homered for the Cubs in the loss. The Cubs are 1-7 in their last 8 games and are currently tied with the Miami Marlins for the 3rd and final wildcard spot. The Cubs host the Colorado Rockies this afternoon at Wrigley.
The St. Louis Cardinals got shut out by the Milwaukee Brewers yesterday at Busch 6-0 the final. The Cards are in San Diego tonight to start a series with the Padres.
