City Water Light and Power have announced that Ninth Street will be closed northbound at Allen Street beginning today. Work on replacing a water service line and hydrant installation at the SMTD Bus Storage Facility is expected to take several days.
Lanes will remain closed until road surface repairs are complete. Motorists are urged to slow down and be aware of construction and repair crews and equipment in and near roadways.
And Monroe Street will be closed completely from Walnut to Second Street beginning today.
The Monroe Street closure will remain in effect until further notice, and motorists are advised to plan alternative routes.
