Tough one for the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley last night as they fell to the NL Central-leading Milwaukee Brewers 6-2. It was the Brewers’ 9th win in a row. Jameson Taillon took the loss for the Cubs. Ian Happ and Patrick Wisdom homered for the Cubs in defeat. The Cubs and Brewers tangle again tonight at Wrigley.

Adam Wainwright lost again as the St. Louis Cardinals were defeated by the San Diego Padres last night at Busch 4-1 in the final. Wainwright is now 3-10 on the season with an 8.10 ERA. A Paul Goldschmidt solo homer accounted for the Card’s lone run in the contest. The Cards and Padres battle again tonight at Busch.

The Chicago White Sox got blown out in Baltimore last night by the Orioles 9-0 in the final. Michael Kopech took the loss for the Sox, who had just two hits on the night, both off the bat of Luis Robert. The Sox and O’s go at it again tonight in Baltimore.

In NFL news, the Chicago Bears yesterday traded a 6th-round pick to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for offensive lineman Dan Feeney. The Bears have until 3p CT to have their 53-man roster finalized.
