The so-called “ComEd Four” will not be sentenced until early next year following their convictions on charges of bribery and conspiracy.

The judge in the case set separate sentencing hearings next January for the four defendants, including the former CEO of Commonwealth Edison and a longtime confidant of former Illinois House Speaker Mike Madigan. The four could potentially face decades in prison, but the actual sentences are not expected to be that severe.

Meanwhile, Madigan confidant Michael McClain has had his legislative pension suspended following his conviction, but that decision may be overturned because McClain’s conviction was based on conduct after his time as a state lawmaker.
