The Springfield school board will vote Monday on a proposal to issue more than $114 million in bonds to pay for several major school construction and renovation projects.

Among the work to be covered by the bonds is the construction of an addition to Springfield High School – renovations at Southeast High School, replacement of the Owen Marsh Elementary School building, and the construction of a new school building to consolidate several smaller elementary schools.

Also, on Monday, the new school board will be seated, including two new first-time members, Ken Gilmore and Debra Iams.
