Springfield Mayor-elect Misty Buscher says she wants to speak with all current city department directors before she makes decisions on staffing changes at City Hall.

Buscher is still putting together a transition team in the aftermath of her election win over Mayor Jim Langfelder.

She says she won’t know how much of a shakeup there will be in top city positions until after she’s had the chance to conduct those meetings.

Also on the incoming mayor’s to-do list is scheduling inauguration ceremonies for herself, the City Council, and citywide officials including incoming Treasurer Colleen Redpath Feger.

The swearing-in must take place within 30 days after the vote is certified, which will happen on April 18; to hear the entire interview, you can listen right below!
