There’s been one last-minute change to Tuesday’s election lineup.
The Springfield Park District says one of the candidates running for a four-year term on the park board has abruptly withdrawn.
Winfred Earl Wilfong delivered his notice of withdrawal Monday, just one day ahead of the election.
Wilfong was one of four candidates seeking three available slots for a four-year term on the park board; no reason was given for his last-minute withdrawal from the race.
