A Springfield restaurant will close at the end of the week – but the owners say it’s not going away entirely.
Conn’s Hospitality Group says it will close Li’l Willy’s BBQ on South Grand Avenue West on Friday, after two and a half years in business.
But the company says it will “evolve” the Li’l Willy’s concept into a new full-service, southern-style restaurant that it plans to open in Vinegar Hill Mall, which Conn’s is currently refurbishing.
The company says the new restaurant will offer both an indoor and outdoor experience, and says all staff will have the opportunity to be involved in the new venture.
No timeline was immediately given for when the new restaurant is expected to open.
