Springfield police are investigating a shooting that happened early Wednesday.
Police were called to the 11-hundred block of Fayette Avenue around 12:15 am and found a 33-year-old male with gunshot wounds to his lower body.
The victim told police that he was outside and was approached by a male wearing a ski mask, who demanded money. The victim was shot twice, and the shooter fled.
Investigators are still looking for a suspect in the case, and are asking anyone with information to contact Springfield police or Crimestoppers.
