A hard rock group has been booked as the latest Illinois State Fair Grandstand act.
The fair has announced Alter Bridge will be the headliner on August 16.
The band was formed almost 20 years ago by former members of the group Creed.
The opening act will be Mammoth WVH, a band formed by Eddie Van Halen’s son Wolfgang.
Tickets will go on sale at a later date, with prices ranging from $25 to $35, and a Blue Ribbon Zone pass for $90.
