Now you’ll be able to watch the new documentary about the 1960s restoration of the Old State Capitol on demand.
“History Reborn” was screened at a special event in Springfield last month, and then was shown on public television stations around Central Illinois over the weekend.
Now the documentary commissioned by the Springfield Sangamon Growth Alliance is on YouTube.
It tells the story of how a team of local architects came up with the plan to dismantle the historic building brick-by-brick and then rebuild it to its original specifications.
