A Sangamon County judge has denied a request by two Springfield EMTs to have their million-dollar bond on murder charges reduced.

Peter Cadigan and Peggy Finley have been held in the county jail since their arrest last month in the December death of Earl Moore, Jr..

Authorities say Moore died after he was forcibly restrained, face down, on a stretcher by the two EMTs, who had been called to his home to provide medical aid.

Each would have to post 10% of the bail amount, or $100,000 apiece, in order to be set free pending trial.

Their next scheduled court appearance is March 20.
