Brace yourself for the possibility of a winter storm in the next couple of days. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for portions of the WMAY listening area.

Springfield is not currently part of the watch area, with the forecast calling for one to three inches of snow from late Tuesday night until early afternoon Wednesday. But areas to the south and east… including Christian, Macon, Macoupin, and Montgomery Counties… are under the watch, with a possibility of four to six inches of snow by the time it’s all over.

Stay with 92.7 WMAY for updates on the developing weather situation.
