After her official swearing-in was delayed for days because of the fight over electing a new U.S. House Speaker, Congresswoman Nikki Budzinkski has now held a second, ceremonial swearing-in at a union office in Springfield.
Budzinski’s support of labor was a big theme of Saturday’s event at the Pipefitters Local, with a number of elected officials and labor leaders in attendance.
Budzinski says she’s looking forward to working on issues from lowering the cost of healthcare to bringing more jobs back to Central Illinois.
