Governor JB Pritzker sees opportunity for international investment in Illinois from both traditional and emerging technologies.
Pritzker spoke to WMAY and other Illinois media outlets on a conference call from Davos, Switzerland, where he has been taking part in the World Economic Forum and touting Illinois as a destination for foreign investments.
The governor says interest remains high in areas like agriculture, where Illinois has long been a leader… but says there is also growing interest in new fields, from green energy to bioengineering to quantum physics and computing. Pritzker describes himself as the state’s “chief marketing officer” in promoting its successes and opportunities.
