Dolly Parton

Dolly Parton is widely believed to be one of the great pop and country singers of all time, and was honored for her outstandingly successful career with an induction in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Though initially resistant to the induction, Parton eventually relented and even participated in the induction ceremony where she performed on stage. That experience in more rock oriented environment which even saw her share the stage with Judas Priest’s Rob Halford, has influenced the country music queen  to make a rock album. She confirmed on a recent episode of ‘the Tonight Show’ with Jimmy Fallon which you can watch here.

“I’m actually gonna have some cameo people on there and some originals. We’re gonna have a lot of great iconic songs like [Prince’s] ‘Purple Rain‘ and [Rolling Stones] ‘(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction,’ [Led Zeppelin‘s] ‘Stairway to Heaven‘ and [Lynyrd Skynyrd‘s] ‘Free Bird,’ but I’m [also] going to have a few guest artists,” she added. Loudwire covered the whole story here.
