An Illinois consumer group says it’s still way too easy for consumers to unwittingly buy toys that are the subject of safety recalls.
The Illinois Public Interest Research Group says it attempted to purchase 16 different toys that had been recalled during 2022… and were able to purchase eleven of them through online toy sellers or social media services like Facebook Marketplace.
The recalled items included stuffed animals, bath toys, and a toddler’s riding toy.
