With very cold temperatures and gusty winds in the forecast for this weekend, the city of Springfield has put together a list of warming center locations to help people get out of the cold. But there are very few options for assistance in the evening and overnight hours.

The list includes city government locations, non-profits, and some private businesses like White Oaks Mall, but they only serve as warming centers during regular business hours.

The only location providing overnight warming services is the Salvation Army overflow shelter on North 11th Street, which is available from 7pm to 7am as capacity permits. For a full list of locations, check the city of Springfield website.
