The Republican nominee for U.S. Senate is going to court over a ballot snafu that could impact her race.

Several hundred early and mail-in ballots in Schuyler County were erroneously printed with the name of Peggy Hubbard as the GOP nominee in the Senate race… but Hubbard lost the June primary to Kathy Salvi. Salvi is seeking an injunction that would order Schuyler County to allow all voters who cast a misprinted ballot to cast a new ballot with the correct information, or at least to be allowed to submit a new vote in the Senate race.

Salvi also wants a court order directing Schuyler County not to count any votes for Senate that were cast with an erroneous ballot. Salvi is running against Democratic incumbent Tammy Duckworth in next week’s election.
