Partial tax returns released by Governor JB Pritzker show the billionaire governor and his wife made significantly more income last year than the year before.
Pritzker and First Lady MK Pritzker reported more than $18 million in adjusted gross income last year, up from $5 million the year before. The Pritzkers paid $4.7 million in federal income tax and almost $900,000 to the state. But trusts benefitting the Pritzker family also reported substantial income and taxes, paying $14.6 million to the state and $68.6 million to the feds.
Republican challenger Darren Bailey released a summary of his personal tax returns last month, showing Bailey reported no taxable income in three of the past five years.
