You may have caught QLZ spinning this new track by Pistols at Dawn called ‘the Truth’. You will dig this if you enjoy some of the alt-rock crossover late 90s vibes of Our Lady Peace and groups like Stone Temple Pilots. It has some of that post-grunge construction to it for sure. If you are friends with someone who needs a talking to, these lyrics set the appropriate soundtrack.
The band came together in vibrant diverse music scene in Atlanta. The players have all known each other through different bands in the same scene but they formed the band together later in life. Pistols drummer Adam Jaffe told the whole story and a fun childhood story of his dad’s new girlfriend driving his mom crazy when she got him a drum kit when he turned just six years old.
