Some students are complaining about a Northern Illinois University professor’s requirement that all students wear masks in his physics class.
Jahred Adelman posted a graphic in his class stating that refusing to wear a mask is “ableist and racist,” and sends a signal to others that their health does not matter. Published reports say students who don’t comply with the mandate will be removed from the class.
NIU no longer has a campuswide mask requirement, but does allow individual professors to require them within their classrooms.
