Sangamon County Coroner Jim Allmon has identified the pedestrian who was killed when he was struck by a vehicle Friday night.
69-year-old Gordon Matthews was hit Friday night near Route 29 and Tuxhorn Road. He was pronounced dead at the scene just after 11:30pm Friday.
An autopsy shows Matthews died of multiple blunt force injuries from the accident, which remains under investigation.
