The main local blood donation agency is sweetening the pot in an effort to get more donors through the door.
ImpactLife says the supply of blood is becoming dangerously low. The agency wants to have a five-day supply of all blood types on hand… but at the moment, it’s down to a one-day supply of O-positive and O-negative, and two to three days for other types. Several factors, including summer vacations and a COVID-related drop-off in the number of mobile blood drives… are contributing to the shortage. Now through July 4th, donors will receive a voucher for a $20 electronic gift card.
