Governor JB Pritzker says as long as he is governor and the state has a pro-choice legislature, Illinois will continue to protect women’s reproductive rights.
But Pritzker says it’s important for women to vote if they want to have control over their own bodies and choices. Pritzker held a news conference Wednesday at a Planned Parenthood clinic in the Metro East. He called on Congress to pass federal legislation preserving a woman’s right to an abortion… even if the Senate has to change its filibuster rules to pass it.
Pritzker says women across the country are under siege… but says Illinois trusts women, and the rest of the nation should, too.
