Illinois has awarded the last of its “Back 2 Business” pandemic relief grants.
In total, the program provided more than 6,500 grants, totalling $1.5 billion, to businesses in 90 Illinois counties, most of them operating in communities or industries that were disproportionately harmed by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Statewide, the average grant was more than $37,000.
Around 125 Sangamon County businesses received grants, with the biggest… $250,000 each… going to the Crowne Plaza and the Holiday Inn Express on South Dirksen Parkway.
