Springfield police are investigating an armed robbery at a north end bank Friday.
Officers were called to the U.S. Bank branch at 800 N. Grand Avenue East around 4 Friday afternoon. The suspect is described as a Black male in his 40s or 50s, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a balaclava-style face mask. The suspect took off on foot with an unknown amount of cash and headed in the direction of the nearby Hildebrandt high-rise apartments.
No one was injured in the incident.
