There are changes coming to Springfield’s hospitality scene.

William Van’s Coffee House will close its downtown Springfield location, effective this Sunday. The Springfield Business Journal reports Conn’s Hospitality Group plans to reopen the business in a new location and expand its offerings to include fruit-based ciders and meads. There’s no word yet on the new location or a timeline for the reopening. Meanwhile, a popular fast food chain will enter the Springfield market next year. Raising Cane’s… which specializes in chicken fingers… will build a store at the Wabash Avenue location currently occupied by Casa Real.

It’s scheduled to open in 2023. Casa Real plans to relocate.
