Police in the Illinois town of Paxton are recommending criminal charges against two 14-year-old middle school students for a racist video that was widely circulated.

The video contained racial slurs and made references to killing minorities. Authorities believe the juveniles recorded the video to harass another person at their school.

After investigating the incident, police are asking for charges including harassment and hate crime. A final decision on charges would come from county prosecutors, who are reviewing the case.
