Illinois is distributing free home COVID tests to residents in specific zip codes in 14 counties that are designated as “vulnerable communities.”
Sangamon County is not included in the free distribution, but three zip codes in Macon County are eligible to receive the free nasal swab tests. State health officials say the locations are based on factors including income, percentage of minority populations, and housing and transportation data.
Residents of eligible areas can sign up at AccessCovidTests.org.
