Four more Sangamon County residents and one Menard County resident have died of COVID-19.
The latest Sangamon County fatalities include two people in their 80s who were both vaccinated and boosted… a man in his 60s who was vaccinated but not boosted… and an unvaccinated woman in her 70s. The Menard County death was an unvaccinated man in his 60s. COVID has now claimed the lives of 333 Sangamon County residents, and 12 people in Menard County.
782 new confirmed cases Wednesday pushes Sangamon County’s overall case total past 47,000, while Menard County now has more than 3,000 total cases of the virus since the start of the pandemic.
