Last night’s NBA playoffs saw a controversial scene at courtside as Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic was trying to get an out-of-bounds ball back from one of the big spending courtside fans, gave a forearm shimmy to the owner of the opposing team Phoenix Suns, Matt Ishibia. Ishbia then threw his arms up as Jokic physically interacted with him, while trying to get the ball back as his team had possession during the first half.

The referee then caused a stir putting a technical foul on Jokic who still performed well in the game, raining in 53 points in the game despite the lost to the Suns at a score of 129-125. Suns tie the series at 2 games. Then on top of this the fan who held on to the ball was ejected from the game.

Ishibia issued a statement on the matter with ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith sound off the entire matter this morning as well, where he stated he does not want his interaction with Yokic to take the focus away from the playoff series.

Maybe something with the action coming off the court into the stands is in the air, as Lebron James had to hurdle over fans recently during a offensive drive in his playoff series with his Lakers agains the Golden State Warriors.
