With a one goal lead, the United States Men’s National soccer team held off on a late surge from Iran in win-or-go-home group stage game today in Qatar. Watching this game on FOX before going on air today on 97.7 QLZ, I felt I might lose my voice screaming at the screen. It was that much pressure.
Here are some highlights including Captain America Christian Pulisic who got injured sacrificing his body to bury the goal in the first half. Though USMNT had opportunities in the second half, it was very much a defensive game with Iran trying to force penalty kick opportunities including one in the final minute of added stoppage time.
