Christmas is my favorite time of year. Thanksgiving is probably a close second for me, so this part of the year is always pretty exciting…. even if my wife and I don’t have plans. Time to officially put the tree up and start to watch those Holiday Movies and drink that yummy hot cocoa.
As per usual there are a lot of things happening around the Capitol that will help put you in the mood to sing carols. Ok… that might be a stretch. They will at least put you in a good mood.
The Holiday Walks are an amazing wat to see downtown all lit up. My favorite place is right down my the old state capitol where you can see lights, people skating and the Springfield Christmas Tree.
This Saturday, Dec 3 at 5:30 PM, plan on attending the Springfield Jaycee’s Holiday Lights Parade. We will be partnering with the Springfield YMCA with our theme being Polar Express! We will being spreading holiday cheer and of COURSE candy!
All in all, we have a lot to look forward to and I cant wait to make this year a special Holiday Season!
